Practical Social Media: Creating a Manageable Strategy for Growth
This workshop is specifically designed for small business owners looking to maximize their online presence without the overwhelm.

Presented by the Yarmouth Chamber in collaboration with the Dennis and Greater Hyannis Chambers of Commerce, we invite the Mid-Cape business community to join us on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. We will meet at Thirwood Place in Yarmouth for a session focused on realistic, high-impact social media tactics.

About This Workshop
Social media is a powerful growth tool, but it only works if you can use it consistently. Many owners struggle to find the time or expertise to stay active. This workshop is designed to remove that burden by helping you align your business’s unique strengths with a strategy that is actually manageable.

We will focus on practical, results-oriented steps: creating and scheduling content efficiently, re-posting effectively, and using essential tools like hashtags and calls to action. This session is specifically designed for businesses—from retail and restaurants to service providers—that need their marketing to work harder without taking up all their time. You will leave with a clear profile of your needs and an actionable editorial calendar you can maintain.

Workshop Leader
Our guest speaker, Kristin McGillicuddy, brings 28 years of marketing experience to the table. A 25-year Cape Cod resident, Kristin is an instructor in Stonehill’s graduate MS in Marketing program and directs their graduate business programs. She enjoys applying her extensive private-sector experience to help local organizations achieve their marketing goals in a way that is both professional and practical.

Key Takeaways:
Manageable Planning: How to build an editorial calendar that fits your schedule.
Practical Efficiency: Tips for scheduling and re-posting to save time.
Engagement Basics: Using hashtags and calls to action to increase visibility.
Strategic Focus: Choosing the right platforms so you aren't spread too thin.
