Event Description:
Come enjoy an evening featuring renowned singer Krisanthi Pappas accompanied by the Cape Cod Jazz Quintet. Krisanthi has opened for or shared the stage with Branford Marsalis, Chuck Mangione, The Yellowjackets, Manhattan Transfer’s Cheryl Bentyne, Kevin Mahogany, Gary Burton, and Makoto Ozone. She is a two-time jazz winner in the Billboard® World Song Contest and has been featured on major network TV shows and films. Krisanthi performs full time throughout New England, New York City, the Caribbean, and Greece. She has released seven CDs, which have received high acclaim and national airplay on Pandora Radio, Spotify, Apple Music, Google Play, and Amazon Music. The Cape Cod Jazz Quintet will open the concert with a Tribute to Horace Silver. The quintet has appeared at concerts and private events across Cape Cod; accompanied vocalists Dane Vannatter, Siobhan Magnus, Cassandre McKinley, and Leslie Boyle; and recorded two CDs including one with Dane. The quintet is comprised of five of Cape Cod’s top jazz musicians: Steve Ahern on trumpet and flute, Bruce Abbott on sax and flute, Fred Boyle on piano, Ron Ormsby on bass, and Bart Weisman on drums.
