DESCRIPTION:Milton Academy Jazz Group Benefit\n\n\n\nOn Sunday\, March 1\, at 7pm\, the Milton Academy Jazz Combo\, with Cape Cod's own William Powers (sax)\, and Orleans Jazz will both perform a fundraiser for the Academy's Spring trip to South Africa. Down Beat magazine has twice named Massachusetts Milton Academy Jazz Combo the best high school jazz group in the country and they have opened for James Taylor and traveled to South Africa to play music and deliver instruments & materials to needy school music programs. Orleans Jazz features Cerise (vocals) and Bruce Abbott (sax & flute) with Fred Fried (guitar)\, Bart Weisman (drums)\, and Bob Sinicrope (bass)\, who directs the Milton Academy Jazz Program.\n\n\n\nTickets are $25 and can be purchased at the Cultural Center of Cape Cod\, 307 Old Main St.\, South Yarmouth. Call 508-394-7100 or visit www.cultural-center.org
