Sailors' Valentine Inspired Jewelry

The Cape Cod Maritime Museum will host a one-of-a-kind jewelry making class -- join Melonie Massa of Mermaids Baubles as she guides participants in making their own Sailors’ Valentine-inspired pendants! Your beautiful handcrafted silver necklace will connect you to a centuries-old tradition of mariners creating souvenirs of their travels. What makes this class so unique is that while there are many Sailors’ Valentines artists, not many people have turned the art form into jewelry. The workshop includes everything you will need, but if you have a tiny shell, piece of sea glass or other beach treasure that is special and you would like to incorporate it into your design, by all means bring it!
