The Cape and Islands United Way is proud to offer MyFreeTaxes, a free online tax prep platform that allows Americans earning $62,000 or less to keep more of their hard-earned money this tax season. Seventy-two percent of the working population in the United States qualify for free tax filing and counseling. MyFreeTaxes is made available by United Way, with the support of a grant from the Walmart Foundation. Tax filing software is provided by H&R Block in both English and Spanish by IRS-certified specialists. The service also includes a helpline, 1-855-MY-TX-HELP and local one-to-one help at two Volunteer Income Tax Assistance sites on the Cape.
