Pulitzer prize winning playwright, David Lindsay-Abaire, employs his brilliant humor and understanding of the human condition to take a look at class in America through the lens of his boyhood home, Southie, Boston. Margaret Walsh is a smart, wisecracking, single mom surviving on low pay and hard work. In an attempt to get ahead, she risks pride and reputation and approaches an old boyfriend, now a successful doctor, to help her. Margaret Walsh's "family†in Southie, Jean, Dottie and Stevie, are funny, endearing, loyal and unforgettable.
